I love Santa's Land. My son and I went on opening day last year October 19, 2024! It was a very fun and happy day and we are grown up adults. The staff was friendly. We spent a few hours there! It was the highlight of my year! We decided to go again this year November 7th, for Nighttime Magic checked in at a hotel and then headed over. We ate first at The Candy Cupboard, and then decided to look at all the wonderful lights and displays and went everywhere we could. It was beautiful and we had fun. I have no complaints about Santa's Land it put us into the Christmas Spirit. I will be staying overnight in Brattleboro instead of Putney next year! Thank you for having us Dave and Santa. I am disgusted by all the negative reviews especially taking about the no rides...well if people actually took the time to read what Nighttime magic was they could have chose not to go. instead they are acting entitled and must not share the same feelings as I did. The final straw was seeing a video uploaded to YouTube just 4 days ago...(The video did not make me laugh either)Your Stupid Opinions why not say more about the positive reviews...Dave and employees started from a ruined park to bring it up to where it is today. I am thankful and yes I talked to Rex. People like to complain but fail to find the true meaning or feeling I feel sorry for them. Merry Christmas!
I used to work at Santa's Land in Putney, Vermont back in high school—over 25 years ago—and some of my favorite memories are from those days with my coworkers and the families who came to enjoy the park. Seeing the park open again after all these years genuinely makes me happy. Yes, it’s a bit smaller than it used to be, but that’s part of its charm. The vintage buildings and animatronics feel like a time capsule from a simpler era, and the new nighttime lights really bring the park to life in a magical way. Grab a hot chocolate, wander through the displays, and you may even run into Santa himself roaming the grounds. It’s a wonderful, low-key way to enjoy the holiday season. I truly hope people take the time to visit this year, and I wish the new owners all the success in keeping this beloved tradition alive. Santa’s Land remains a perfect escape for kids—and a nostalgic glimpse at a classic roadside attraction from the late ’50s and early ’60s.
This is a night time event , walk through Christmas lights and displays . Very affordable! Great food and great staff . Clean bathrooms and gift shop with cute Christmas decor and items to purchase. Highly recommend, I visit every time I'm in the area
We go as a family every year and saw that this year it’s Friday and Saturday nights only. We totally understand that decision. If youve ever been prior to this year, be prepared to be disappointed. The only things open was the gift shop you enter in, the little building you write letters in, the outdoor cafe, a candy store, and the Santa sleeping building. There’s also the small iceberg slide. There’s no big slide, fun house, mini golf, carousel, or car ride. We paid $38 to get in, $32 on food and we were in and out in 46 min. Santa used to walk around but this year he’s in the entrance building only. We won’t be back unless they reopen everything else. 2 super disappointed kids.
Very disappointed to see this place is no longer open during the day on weekends . For 30+ years we have brought our children then our grandkids up from Ct. To spend a day there. Now I see there are no rides left and only open 4 hours on Friday night and Saturday night. Our grandkids are young and it would be way too late at night to try to bring them 1.5 hours each way. I thought the new owner would be improving but looks like its anything but. I think the new owner had great plans but looks like its not panning out.
