Mountain Man mini golf

This was a fun, unique course! It definitely took some getting used to, and if we had more time I would have played it again. It's also nicely shaded. At only $4/round you can't go wrong! We talked with the owner, a very nice man who also owns the silver shop. We also didn't have time to eat, but the Mexican place next door was busy and looked and smelled good.

We are in the area from Maine, celebrating our anniversary and stopped at this roadside stand to check out the handmade jewelry, what we got was an experience we won’t forget. The jewelry was both cool and creative, and the Mountain Man was kind and sweet with a great personality. We weren’t intending to play mini golf but he offered to let us test out a couple holes and we ended up having so much fun we played the whole course. This is not your run of the mill mini golf course with all the bells and whistles, it’s a hand built course that was made with love and you can feel it. The Mountain Man has done a wonderful job putting together a place for fun and lasting memories. We will never forget our visit! Thanks Mountain Man!

Mountain Man mini golf was an amazing experience for our large family. 12 of us ages 15 to 80 played this 18 hole course. It's clay, not turf, the course is definitely not your typical mini golf. But you will remember this course after you play. Mountain Man is super friendly & the ice-cream we had after was the perfect ending to a small adventure.

Somewhere deep in the kind of green that makes Ireland look like a strip mall, there’s a place that feels like a flea market had a passionate fling with a food truck park and they raised a bunch of feral, lovable tiny houses. Welcome to Mountain Man—an unapologetically weird, wonderfully redneck plaza where tacos, lobster, silver jewelry, and mini golf live together in chaotic harmony. Start at Maria Tacos, because your taste buds deserve joy. The tortillas are warm, the flavors don’t mess around, and you’ll question every life decision that led you to ever eat gas station burritos. There’s a Mexican flag flying proudly above the kitchen like a beacon of culinary truth. That was your first clue. You ignored it. Instead, you got the $29 lobster roll. Served in a hamburger bun, because apparently, we’re doing things differently up here. Was it the best lobster roll of your life? No. Was it edible? Also yes. Should you have known better than to trust shellfish this far from the ocean? Probably. But the Big Boy lobster tail? Charred, juicy, massive. That one nearly made up for it. Wander over to Vivid Vines—a plant shop/art gallery/fever dream where everything smells like fresh soil and possibility. Then go meet the Mountain Man himself. He’s somewhere between a silversmith and a backwoods Gandalf. He won’t get up. He doesn’t need to. The silver jewelry speaks for itself—raw, magical, maybe cursed, probably blessed. Then there’s the mini golf—if you can call it that. It’s less "putt-putt paradise" and more “I found some old carpet and a shovel, let’s make memories.” The greens are dirt. Literal dirt. Obstacles include rogue tree roots, a slightly menacing squirrel, and what might be an old lawnmower blade serving as a windmill. You don’t book a tee time. You holler. Loudly. That’s the official protocol, per the hand-painted sign nailed to a post like a backwoods Bat-Signal. No scorecards, no rules, just vibes. It’s the kind of course where your ball might disappear into the woods and come back with a story. Competitive? Only if you consider "don’t trip over that gnome" a sport. Mountain Man isn’t trying to impress you. It’s not curated, it’s not filtered, and it sure as hell isn’t gentrified. It’s real. And that’s exactly why you’ll want to come back.
