Absolutely a wonderful park with many activities. The only thing is, dogs or any other animals are not allowed and finding out after a 2 1/2 hour drive to play baseball was quite a shock. Fortunately my wife was able to sit with our Bernese Mountain puppy while I played baseball..........but the bad news was, I was in the dog house for a few days........thankfully we won and are heading to our league championship

It was nice , but was not expecting a man-made lake.I was hoping for a real natural lake. Other than that it was nice little walk.

We went to my cousin's Trunk Party at Alverthorpe Park and it was so wonderful ... The area we were in was under the large pavilion by the baseball field ... I truly recommend this for any larger family or group events... The pavilion had lighting and areas for you to grill your food right under the pavilion two large bathrooms lots of parking and YES you could plug in for music set up and charge phones if needed ... Our family really had a great time

Unfortunately, this park has seen better days. I've been coming here with my twelve year old since he was about five. We were here on Saturday in May of 2025. The basketball nets were in disrepair. They have been this way for at least a month. The women's bathroom is a disgrace. The soap dispensers are broken, trash strewn around and smells like mildew. The baseball fields look old and need to be re-lined. It's such a shame to see this green space decline in this manner. I'm not sure what's going on in Abington with their Parks & Rec Service.
