Magical Forest and HallOVeen at Opportunity Village

So cool! Lights and sound and a train! Good fun for the whole family and decently priced. Everyone was friendly and the games were fun. Food was a little better than expected with nice verity of food trucks.

What I loved: The placement of advertisers is. So thoughtfully incorporated throughout the entire visually stimulating presentation. Compared to other artistic attempts at this, this team is doing a great job! What was a little lackluster for me was that the event is not really built for older teenagers. This is perfectly acceptable, but if you are looking for that, your teen, like my three may be a little disappointed. Children 12 and under will have a great time! There are a fair amount of rides to chose from and a trick or treat area. It is quaint, I did not experience any crowding issues, and went pretty close to Halloween, and was warmly welcomed by faculty. My biggest impression was the kindness of a porter. She noticed a large line forming for the women’s restroom and warmly invited the back of the long line to come to another bathroom that was not advertised as well. No line, super clean restroom and I walked away feeling visible and uplifted. This team knows how to love on their team and the community well. I look forward to supporting their efforts again.

This place is neat but there definitely needs to be some sort of organizers for the hot coco line. We had to get in a separate line just to turn in tickets then another to pick up the coco. Why does it have to be 2 separate lines. Just causes confusion, especially when there was no signs saying otherwise and volunteers outside the lines talking to people to tell is about the lines. So my family waited in line for basicly Swiss miss powder cocoa and a "grandma's cookie" for about 30 mins. Also there's no heat lamps by the lines and its super cold. After we got our cocoa we just ended up leaving early and skipped seeing Santa. I think my favorite thing was seeing all the trees that different local companies decorated. I loved the Kens salad dressing tree. Too funny, especially with the huge tubs of dressing at the bottom. Despite the issues it was pretty great otherwise.

It's a very cute concept for little kids. Lines are pretty long so if you have impatient, little ones bring some entertainment while they wait in the line for the train. There were only six little stations to trick-or-treat which they could definitely expand on. Overall really cute but probably won't go back next year.

they started putting sponsored signs EVERYWHERE!! i wouldnt mind it typically, but why is it filling the walkthrough now?? way to break the immersion. such a shame, because my family enjoyed the magical forest for christmas 2 years ago, but if this is the new normal - we wont be back. ive included one example of many of trees filled with capitalism 😓 i understand the need for funding, but for such a small place and even the groupon being $20/pp - at least dont litter the place where ure supposed to walk and enjoy the sights. put it on ur dining trucks since they dont have any decorations to begin with
