Mountain Lake Campground and Cabins

Spots are small but gravel with nice fire pits. No amenities at all, but for the price, bring your own. Self-service and that was okay. Very little to no cell service at all. Tons of wildlife and good roads. Nice views. We had a local rent a dog while camping here. Apparently she makes friends with all campers.

This is our 7th annual fall camping trip to Mtn Lake Campground for their Halloween themed weekend. This year was so much fun, it was our first time camping in Area 2 where all the festivities take place. We had a fantastic time. The campground is packed with activities for kids and is always so clean. It's a wonderful getaway making great memories!

Camped here 5 days in September. The place is huge! Limited full hook up sites but I called and they had one for us. The owner and other lady at the store are very friendly and helpful. We got in after 5 our packet was there with a good map. Drove right to our site. There is only one bathhouse (clean) per section so plan on walking/driving if not camped close to one. There is a nice beach all campers have access to and a few water front sites. A few trails through the woods and a nice disc golf course. I was bummed the ice cream store was closed. Great campground.

My husband and I needed a vacation! We both work really hard and needed relaxation. We sure found that at Mountain Lake Campground! The lake was the most clear watered lake that I have ever seen! We stayed at camp 101. It was a very sunny spot, but there was an apple tree that was very shady! We sat under that and read a book and took a little nap on a blanket. I can't speak enough about the bath house! It was clean and the shower had the best water pressure and unlimited hot water! We rented a pontoon and had a blast! We took some of the most majestic pictures! We also rented a golf cart and I highly recommend doing it and the pontoon. It was worth every penny we spent! They have a general store that is full of anything you need. We were there for 5 days and enjoyed the whole trip! We are already planning our trip back for next summer! Thank you to all the staff for keeping such a Beautiful place for people to enjoy!

Overall I liked this campground and would come again! So pretty, the sites have plenty of space, my grandsons loved the beach area. Along with all the space you have, comes the fact that the campground is so spread out, you pretty much have to drive everywhere, down to the beach area, to the bathrooms, trash and definitely to the office/pool/putt putt, ice cream and gem sluicing. The pool is on the smaller side but the kids wanted to spend all their time at the lake anyway. The store prices were reasonable, except for the bag of dirt to gem mine,but was quite pricey. The ice cream and putt putt prices were reasonable. Our site 245 was slightly sloped, but a great site especially if you wanted to set up badminton or volleyball. And a nice open area to see the stars.
