I’d give this resort 4 stars overall. There are tons of activities and it’s good value for the price—the ski + water park package was a great deal. The only downside was the service: staff didn’t feel professional, and I had a rude interaction with two gentlemen at the front desk. If they improve customer service, this would be an easy five-star stay.
Weird that the ice skating was “free to all who are staying there at the resort” yet when we got there to skate we had to pay to rent the skates! Our condo was A SAUNA when we got there…it was turned up to 85!! We had to sleep with the window open! We had one night stand, BOTH tvs didn’t work, there was barely any hot water. Then we called a shuttle to come get us and it took half an hour…all while we saw 2 shuttles go by! The water park was OVERPRICED for what it was. Then to just watch your kids they wanted us to pay $50…no not to USE the water park but to actually stand there and watch our children in the water. Food was ok, drinks were absurdly expensive ($30 for 2 drinks), the mountain was pretty when the lifts were open. Never got to the top as they were closed due to wind (couldn’t even ski one day yet no refund on lift tickets). The coffee shop wanted a freaking tip for taking my money..mind you I MADE my own coffee (I got the cup, poured the coffee and put cream in it) she just stood behind the counter. Shuttle service was AWFUL..only 3 shuttles for the whole resort? Was absolutely freezing waiting over 20 minutes outside with my son to get a shuttle. Don’t waste your money!
We went to Jay Peak for the indoor water park. It was very fun! They kept the slides moving so there was never a long line. I love that the room has a table and a kitchenette with plates and a mini stovetop. There are places to eat at the resort and all the food was very good. Dicks pizza was a hit with the kids and Miso Hungry was a delicious surprise.
We stayed in 4100 block. The layout and use of the place is acceptable as we made do with what we had, but many items in the condo were a little off. The "big" knife's handle was broken, the other knifes wouldn't cut hello, the colander had a crack so you had to be careful picking it up, missing compost bin, frying pans are beyond redemption, not enough dish clothes and tea towels, clock battery is dead, not enough cutlery or matching glasses for 4 people, cabinets don't have handles and the bumpers are sticky so it's hard to open them, hand soap bars are dried out and don't "soap", shampoo and conditioner dispensers in bath and in shower were empty, the carpet was dirty and stained, the linens are thinning, the mattresses are nearing their end of life... And we visited several friends condos and they all had similar "shortcomings". The shuttles were great, quick and drivers were funny. The staff is very friendly and client service oriented. They are polite, empathetic, patient and clearly value guests experience. The EV charging stations are very busy. The Tesla stations don't charge non-tesla is you don't have the correct adapter. Parking gets crazy during snow storms. It's fine the rest of the time. The little store had everything basic.
cool resort for an affordable price at a beautiful ski mountain. waterpark is a fun treat even though one slide was out of commission. annoying because we got kicked out, front desk said we didn’t need wristbands and then park staff said we did. also called to get my invoice and the front desk guy was rude. other than that everyone was nice. shuttle was mostly reliable except when it forgot about me for 30 mins in the cold. one of the chairlifts also wasn’t working despite the crazy powder and the gondola line is super long. the golf lodging is beautiful little townhouses with almost everything you need. kids outside can be noisy but do quiet down. the roads are well groomed too despite the snowfall. 10/10 would stay again.
