We had a great stay! The staff and maintenance were attentive and helpful with all of our requests. We stayed in the building with the renovated rooms which were super nice and new. The gas fireplace is a showpiece, does not warm the room unfortunately. We had the 1st floor and still had a great view of the mountains but recommend higher floors to see more. Needed air for our car tires and maintenance was very helpful to fill them up. The pillows were huge, suggest you bring your own. The king mattress was hammocked in the bedroom so if you are over 200 you will sink into the bed. If you want to stream on the tv bring your fire stick or Roku otherwise you can’t login to your streaming services. The location is central and convenient. The pull out couch mattress was good quality. Our unit the air handlers 2106 were right outside the patio so it was loud when drinking coffee on the patio. Easy checkout. We got to see Dollywood fireworks at night from the patio which was beautiful!!!
The rooms were dirty - mold on the windows frames, dirt on the cabinets, swarms of gnats on the balconies. The sheets were irritating to the skin, and the bathtub had a ring. For me, I love soaking and this was a feature I was looking forward to. The outdoor hotubs were equally dirty from poor maintenance. The staff was generally flat in tone, from greetings to solutions. It's clear the management is treating the staff without care or concern.
Great Stay for a quick family Dollywood Trip! Clean and Tidy. The staff (Anthony, Linda and Nicole) all were professional, helpful, and friendly. Also, a big thank you to the 2 maintenance guys that came to give us a jumpstart when our van didn't start. Parking lot was well lit at night and everything well kept and clean. Highly recommended!!!
A Masterclass in How Not to Run a Hotel If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to sleep on a granite countertop, book a room here! I already have back and hip problems but ya know what let’s just make them worse how about it! I would have come back here but i cannot tolerate a rock hard bed. Step out onto the balcony for a breath of fresh air—just kidding! You’ll be greeted by the delightful aroma of nearby landfill. It’s like a garbage/sewage-scented candle no one asked for. The balcony itself is so small you’d need to take turns standing on it, and it doesn’t even have a roof. So when it rains, congratulations, you’ve got your very own outdoor shower! The front desk staff lady clearly majored in Rudeness with a minor in “I hate my job and everyone I come in contact with”. I was charged a surprise deposit and resort fee I wasn’t aware of when I booked this! To top it all off, the TV had parental controls on multiple stations, so I couldn’t even watch good sounding channels or South Park. Because apparently, they think a cartoon is more offensive than their trash can-scented patio. And if you are planning on cooking here there is nothing but plates and cups so you’re just screwed. First and last time staying here! Bye Sunrise Ridge resort, I won’t be seeing you!
We really like the resort, location and staff, so after staying in a nice 2-bedroom cottage in 2024, we returned in June 2025. We very much enjoy the resort and will return, however we hope they better maintain the rooms, as we had several issues. We stayed in a 1-bedroom accessible condo, as there were no non-handicap rooms available. The shower was a roll-in and they mounted the shower rod too high requiring us to place a towel there to catch all the water. The dining table was horribly wobbly, the pocket door latch was broken, the fridge was missing a panel and I tore my shirt on the back of the recliner as there was a tack exposed. As we don't normally use a stackable washer and dryer, we had trouble understanding how to use it as there were no provided instructions. Again, we really like the resort and hope for an even more enjoyable stay next time.
