We absolutely love oaks park roller rink. We have been taking our kids here for the last year. And watching them go from not knowing how to skate two gliding around the rink. It has been such a blast and so nostalgic. This place has a little bit of everything before everyone. I have seen three year old kids out here, skating. And I have also seen eighty plus year olds out here cutting a rug on skates. All of this stuff is friendly and extremely helpful. They really make this place an experience. One hundred percent recommend trying this place out. And will definitely be stopping in once a month with the family As per usual.
Mixed feelings about this place. The floor is a little slow, but a cool vintage vibe with a pipe organ, that admittedly is a bit too loud. They've gone cashless, but their lockers still take cash, so bring cash anyways ๐คฃ. They run the typical games, but have weird signs saying if you're passing more people than are passing you, then you're going too fast and to slow down. There's a speed limit for skating now? ๐คฃ๐คฃ As long as you're respectful, in control, and not causing collisions, one should be able to have fun. We skate a lot in our hometown, Chehalis, Hoquiam, Olympia and Portland. This is the first we've seen that restriction. Admittedly, this rink did have a disproportionate amount of beginner skaters and parents dragging their children along. We'll likely stick to the other rinks. Typical roller rink food and prices.
I was very impressed with the haunted houses. They had 3 of them, and they had a lot of characters running around very scary or very friendly. We went on a Sunday and there wasn't much of a wait. We were able to do all 3 haunted houses in an hour. There was one haunted house that had a lot of strobe lights at the end. So if that bothers you definitely be careful of that But it had a good amount of scare and darkness in each haunted house.
First time visiting this amusement park and it's one of my favorite ๐! First amusement park I've been to that has no entrance fee and affordable parking only $4. The tickets price is great since it grants you access to pretty much all the rides. There's plenty entertainment for everyone to enjoy. Many food selections and they have special events as well...Halloween event this weekend! Most importantly I noticed that the staff double and triple check for safety on all the rides I was on. I would definitely visit again and recommend this park to others!
8/16/25: so much has changed since I last came to Oaks Parks! ๐ซ๐ซ Last time I came was about 5 years ago?! ๐ ๐ โค๏ธ No entrance fee, yay! (Glad this hasn't changed!๐). The staffs are friendly ๐ฉท ๐ข Cost for rides: depends on height and safety requirement, if accompanying child under 48" (4 feet), age (if senior, 62 years and older), you can add-on Roller Skate, etc. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth. ๐ซ๐ต Payments are cashless (NO cash) ๐ณ ๐ pay for parking--parking machines does not accept cash (Lots of parking machines near the entrance. Have your car license number ready!) ๐ Lots of food selections: Burgers, fries, pizza, chicken tenders and more! There's also lots of food carts! ๐ parking is plenty by the Roller Rink area. Hard to find parking near the entrance. ๐ ๐ก๐ข๐ LOTS of things to do! Lots of rides! Lots of games to play! And lots of food to eat! ๐พ lots of games and arcade games: you'll need to purchase tickets for certain games (tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth); and you'll need a game card for certain games (game card can be purchased near the games). ๐ฉท highly recommended for the whole family! Definitely would come back again! ๐ฉท๐
