Sandland Adventures

This was a great way to get a tour of the Dunes! The guide was very nice and told us a lot about the history of the dunes. We had a big group tour! It was bumpy and we did go up and down some hills, but that’s part of the fun! Just be aware of metal bars behind you when you hit bumps. Just note a few things: - In case you somehow get lost (which is almost impossible because you’re in a moving dune buggy), there are fluorescent yellow road signs on the beach with numbers on them. You can use those numbers as your location so people can help you. - They won’t retrieve lost/dropped items. The ride can be bumpy/unexpected, so don’t be dumb and dangle your phone/camera off the side. At least have it attached to a lanyard if you’re gonna do that. - Wear eye protection. You should be fine if you’re wearing prescription/sunglasses already, but wear goggles. You’ll find that some sand pellets will hit you. - Especially on windy days, keep your hat in the car or at least hold on to it. It will blow away (and then you can’t retrieve it.)

We love it here! Big thanks to the manager who went above and beyond to make our experience worth it with our grandparents we really appreciate him letting us finish our last hole when I’m sure they had a long day and wanted to get home as well! Thank you to the staff closing tonight 8/17 people like these guys make the experience and why we always come back every year!!

We took the long tour with the 30 passenger dune buggy, exploring the dunes. Our tour guide has driven the dune buggies 19 years! Fascinating tour about the history of the dunes, the type of dunes. The ocean and distant hill views. A way to see the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area.

This is such a unique, once in a lifetime experience that you can only get in Oregon!! We got the Sandrail Tour for thirty minutes, and it was just amazing!! I appreciated that goggles were provided when we started driving, because the sand really whips right into your face (and sometimes your teeth!). It was so action-packed, and our guide would stop at times to give us information about the areas we were touring, as well as information about the Dunes themselves. Never have I felt what it's like to soar high up a sand hill and hear that engine revving!! It was just so exciting, and definitely worth a trip, especially if you're by the coast and are looking for something different to do!! I highly recommend this place!!

Good service at a fair price. They offer guided dunes tours for different group sizes. We tried the large group tour (slower ride) for $20 per person for 1 hour of tour on Oregon dunes. The tour leader/driver was very knowledgeable and professional and we all enjoyed our experience even though the weather was not on our side
