Asheboro Mini Golf

David the owner is what makes this place even more special, he is so nice to talk to and is willing to help you with certain holes. Eventually I joined the weekly putt putt tournaments that they host and it was a great time! Got to meet some very nice people. Overall, this place is an Asheboro must visit! It has HISTORY!

I visited with my husband, in-laws, 3 year old son, and 9 year old daughter. We just wanted a nice/fun evening out with the kids, but this was the WORST putt putt experience we have ever had. For starters - this place is NASTY! You’re greeted (if you would call it that) by the owner who was EXTREMELY RUDE and another employee who can’t put their cigarettes down long enough to check you out and give you your putters. It was so strong smelling, I wouldn’t even let my kids get close to the stand for very long. They had cat food sitting around at the checkout counter, and all around the property for the strays - so yeah, you can imagine the bugs and smell. It was sickening. The owner gave my tall daughter a putter that we felt was too short. My husband gave her his putter for her to see if she liked that size better so that we could maybe request a larger one. The owner then proceeded to start yelling at my husband and my 9 year old daughter because apparently having too large of a putter was a “liability” and apparently he was incapable of talking to us like we were human beings. The strays get better treatment than the customers do at this establishment. Let me also mention that I didn’t play. I usually just hang back and help the kids. So when we don’t have anyone in front of us on the next hole, I usually go with the kids ahead one hole so that the people behind us don’t have to wait around on us. Well - that pissed the owner off too, so he proceeds to come up to us and berate us for that - all while he had his stinking lit cigarette hanging from his mouth. I politely asked him to move away from me and my kids because the smell really bothers us. He told me to “get over it, I’m only a few feet away from you”….excuse me, what!? Unbelievable! We let him know that this would be the last time we would spend money at his business - and he proceeded to let us know that he didn’t need our business because they were doing just fine without us. Trash. If I was a business sponsoring one of the holes, I would IMMEDIATELY pull my sponsorship. No way would my name be associated with this dump!

Whatever you do, don’t ask for a longer club for your kid. It could lead to the person behind the counter throwing things around and shouting. PLEASE read all the dozens of signs in and around course before participating. But seriously the owner did throw a club on the counter and shout at my wife. I just wanted to take my family to do something fun. Simply asked for another club and he lost it. If safety is the priority then he should be concerned about hitting someone while throwing clubs around instead of my 6 year old having a club four inches longer.

Fun experience for the family! Owner was super friendly and a great guy overall. Will be back next time we are in town!

This is hands down the best mini golf course in town. It may look easy but it will humble you if you're not careful. The prices are extremely affordable $4.00 for adult $3.00 for children. You can't take a family out to do something cheaper than this. Make sure to stop in and play 18 here!!!!
