Pretty good variety of stores and things to do here You got your usual clothes shops Abercrombie & Finch, journeys, Hot topic, box lunch. More expensive places like Rolex. On the entertainment side they have an indoor water park, amusement park featuring a bunch of rides and a roller coaster all Nickelodeon themed. Snowboarding and ferris wheel that gives you a nice view of the city. They got a bandai namco store, toys r us and a pop mart for the collectors out there. Two floor candy shop called it sugar lots of variety there. I can't list everything given it's the second biggest mall in the country but a threw a few popular ones in the review to give you an idea. I did enjoy the sea life exhibit that was probably one of the more unique things. I just recently spent the day here It was cool to check out and see everything but for me personally felt like just another mall with a few extra things you don't normally see. I would maybe go back but I'm personally not in a rush to overall it was okay given it was a two hour drive. It had a slight wow factor I guess give you that sense of being back in time when malls were relevant. I think I can use a more stores for collectors and toy and video game enthusiasts It lacked a lot of the nerd aspect I would call it.

This was my first time visiting American Dream Mall, and it was a great experience. There are so many activities to enjoy beyond shopping, making it perfect for both kids and adults. The layout is well thought out, with many areas featuring their own distinctive and creative designs. In addition, the mall is pet-friendly—just be sure pets are leashed and cleaned up after as needed. Overall, it’s a well-designed destination that truly caters to everyone. Highly recommended for families, especially those who want to shop with their pets.

I absolutely love going to American Dream Mall in New Jersey. Every time I visit, it feels exciting and refreshing because of how beautifully and uniquely everything is designed. The decorations are very well done, modern, and different from any other mall I’ve visited. Each section has its own vibe, which makes walking around feel like an experience rather than just shopping. On weekends and during peak hours, parking inside the American Dream parking lots can be a bit challenging. However, we usually park at the MetLife Stadium parking lot, which turns out to be very convenient. From there, it’s easy and smooth to enter the mall without stress, and it saves a lot of time and frustration. I travel from Long Island, NY, and even though it’s a bit of a drive, it’s always worth it. This mall offers so much more than shopping—it’s full of fun activities and attractions for all ages. From indoor amusement parks and entertainment zones to restaurants, cafés, and dessert spots, there’s always something to do. You can easily spend an entire day here without getting bored. Overall, American Dream Mall is a perfect destination for shopping, food, entertainment, and family or couple outings. Whether you’re visiting for fun activities or just to enjoy the atmosphere, it never disappoints. I always enjoy my time here and love coming back again and again.

Parking Deck A receives frequent positive mentions for easy access. Navigation: This is probably the mall’s biggest challenge. The layout is notoriously confusing with multiple levels, twists, turns, and sections that don’t always connect intuitively. First-time visitors often get lost. Download the mall app or grab a physical map when you arrive. Allow extra time for navigation, especially if you’re trying to get to specific attractions at scheduled times. Cost: While admission to the mall itself is free, individual attractions require separate tickets. An all-access pass covering multiple attractions can cost $100+ per person. Budget accordingly if you’re bringing a family—costs can escalate quickly. Crowds: Weekends and holidays can get extremely busy, particularly at popular attractions. Consider visiting on weekdays if possible for a more manageable experience. Even the walkways can feel congested during peak times. Time: Plan to spend at least 4-6 hours if you want to experience multiple attractions. Many families find it worthwhile to split visits across multiple days to avoid exhaustion and fully enjoy everything. Overall Verdict American Dream succeeds brilliantly as an entertainment destination but falls short as a traditional shopping mall. It’s perfect for families looking for an indoor activity hub, especially during bad weather or extreme temperatures. The variety of attractions means there’s genuinely something for every age group. However, be prepared for the complexity of the space, potentially high costs, and crowds. The entertainment value is substantial if you’re planning to use multiple attractions, but casual visitors just looking to shop might find it overwhelming and unnecessary. Best for: Families with children, groups looking for varied entertainment, people seeking year-round indoor activities, tourists wanting a unique New Jersey experience. Not ideal for: Quick shopping trips, people on tight budgets, those who prefer outdoor activities, or anyone looking for a traditional mall experience.

When we heard that this is actually the second largest mall in the country, we wanted to check it out. It really is a very impressive mall. We were particularly impressed by how nice everything was and many of the high end finishes in the mall. There are fountains in many parts of the mall, something you don't see all that often anymore, and some of the fountains even have koi fish in them, which is a very unique touch. There are also statues, unique seating, and creative construction features everywhere you look. There are about 450 stores that really provide a tremendous variety of shops for everyone. We did notice that there are quite a few empty storefronts, many that they were actively working on, so it looks like they'll be adding even more shops. I did notice that there is strangely very few shops in the housewares space, so hopefully they'll be adding some of those. There's even a two story Toys R Us, one of only two currently open across the country, which is very cool. There are also a ton of great dining options throughout the mall that provide a great variety of dining options. Aside from stores and restaurants, there is also a giant ferris wheel with views of the NYC skyline, an ice skating rink, and a skiing mountain... A very cool mall that I definitely recommend checking out!
