Double JJ Resort

The property itself is beautiful, especially the forest surrounding the farm. However, my main problem was with our cabin. During my stay, I woke up four times in the same night because I was so cold, despite wearing two layers of clothing. The blankets were thin, and the walls were thinner. We had the heat up to 70, but the temperature barely broke 50. The blankets were far too thin for a Michigan winter. For anyone planning to stay in weather like this, I'd recommend the hotels. On a positive note, the staff was wonderful. Very attentive and kind, especially at the breakfast buffet. I also really enjoyed the water park, though it was definitely a little outdated and rundown. While on the topic of the water park, why did the bathrooms not have hot water? I attempted to take a shower inside the park and was met with freezing water, as if we were outside. If the park pool is warm, the running water should be, too.

This place is a dump! Do not waste your money! Needs a lot of updating. Our son was super excited to go to a Waterpark for his first time. All he could do was look at it..... it was closed our whole stay. Was told multiple times it would be open.... it was not. It looked very dirty as well. Everything was overpriced. The shower has no water pressure and was not hot. Great wolf lodge is way cheaper and cleaner!

Came to JJ for our son's 8th birthday. We had let them know the reason for our stay and most of the staff, but Landyn and Bud specifically, went out of their way to make sure his birthday stay was special. Unfortunately, we chose one of the coldest winter weekends to happen in michigan in years (Jan 2026, -7 degrees), and for safety they had to close the water park and sled hill, but this is understandable. The staff did the best they could with the situation they were in, and it showed. We will be back for sure. Now my 9 year wants her birthday there in June. Thank you Double JJ, Landyn, Bud, and Kevin for a special weekend for our boy!

After a morning at the waterpark having fun with my 2 grandsons, we went to our loft hotel room to watch the NFL playoffs together. The TV in our room had been converted to a service that didn’t have the game. I called the front desk. Landon came to the Lofts, found us an available room that did have the game, turned it on and then helped us change rooms. His initiative ensured my plans and memories happened.

We just left here ,we did our family Christmas. It’s not worth what they charge. First we didn’t get in to our suite till after 5 because of maintenance. The upstairs bathtub upstairs was not cleaned in a long time. The downstairs bathroom had black mold. It didn’t even look like they vacuumed. The machines at the game room would take your coins but wouldn’t play. The tubing hill was a lot of fun and the water park was good too. I would not stay here again.
