Where else can you get alligators to jump for chicken while playing a round of mini golf? Feeding the live gators with fishing poles was easily the most insane part of our visit to Congo River Golf in Altamonte Springs. It’s not every day you’re dangling a snack over a 4-foot gator between putts, but it’s an absolute blast and a total must-try if you want that authentic Florida experience. The course itself is a vibe. With 18 holes of safari-themed adventure, you’re constantly surrounded by cool elements like a massive crashed plane, rugged safari trucks, and misty caves that actually feel like an escape from the heat. The waterfalls and lush greenery create a great atmosphere, and the quiet music playing in the background keeps things relaxed while you play. We found the holes to be a nice balance—moderately easy enough for a casual family outing but still engaging because of the elevation changes. Just a heads-up for anyone planning a trip: because of those elevation changes, there are a lot of stairs. It’s a fun workout, but definitely not handicap accessible, so keep that in mind if you have mobility concerns. Also, while the "indigenous African" decor adds to the safari theme, it’s clearly more about the "adventure movie" aesthetic than historical accuracy. We didn't have time for the gemstone mining or the laser maze, but they looked like great add-ons for kids. If you're looking for a unique spot that’s way more than just hitting a ball into a hole, this is it. It's easily one of the most memorable mini-golf spots in the Orlando area.

We had a great time at this putt putt location. Loved the live baby gators that you can pay to hold and get pictures or feed. The course was fun with waters, planes, exploration theme. I would recommend this business in Altamonte Springs.

Visited again and they are continuing to update and refresh the course. The water features were turned off, so no waterfalls or raging water. If I understood the attendant correctly, it was because they had people working on repainting the rock features. Not sure if it was something they were doing for everyone, but the attendant was generous enough to give us rainchecks for a future visit, even though we still got to play. Still the best location that's not in a tourist hotspot! Great spot to take a date or your family. ----------------- Within the 6 months since our last visit, the place looks like it's had a really good renovation with new wood beams and steps installed, fresh paint on the "stuck" off-road vehicle, new paint or refreshed signing / totems / other, perhaps even new "greens". Always have had a good experience at this location, just be careful of the heat in the summer, as there's only a soda machine about halfway through, and water fountain / drinks at the beginning / end. There's shade and seating, but you're not usually on a hole long enough to stay. Baby gators are always a sight to behold, and for an upcharge, you can feed / hold them. Good place to bring your kids or a fun night out with a significant other.

We had an incredible time at CongoRiver Golf. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and received exceptional customer service. One of the highlights of our visit was feeding the alligators, which was an experience . My little one was thrilled when he managed to get a hole in one today. We completed the challenge and won a prize by scratching off a scratch off card. I highly recommend this place for a fun filled family day or night out.
